Chioma Olise scores as Trabzonspor edge Hakkarigücu in Turkish Women’s Super Lig

Nigeria’s Chioma Olise found the back of the net as Trabzonspor secured a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Hakkarigücü in the Turkish Women’s Super Lig on Sunday.
The former Royal Queens player opened the scoring for the visitors in the 26th minute, giving Trabzonspor early control of the contest.
Donjeta Halilaj doubled the advantage in the 37th minute, capping a dominant first-half performance.
Hakkarigücü pulled one back in the 72nd minute through Elif Kecsin, but the hosts were unable to complete the comeback as Trabzonspor held firm to claim all three points.
Olise joined Trabzonspor from Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership side, Edo Queens and in her second season.
After nine matches, Trabzonspor sit fourth on the table with 21 points, just one point behind third-placed Fomget GSK.
Galatasaray and Fenerbahce currently lead the standings with 27 points each.
