#CHIVIDO2024: Osimhen, Amaju and Okocha rep football family at Davido’s wedding

The Nigerian football community was well represented at the high-profile wedding of music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, to his long-time girlfriend Chioma on Tuesday in Lagos.
Among the notable guests were former Super Eagles captain Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha and current Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen.
Victor Osimhen, dressed in traditional Nigerian attire, was seen in a viral video relaxing in a luxurious car alongside music personality Peter Okoye, known by his stage name PSquare.
The Napoli forward had previously expressed his excitement upon receiving the invitation to Davido’s wedding.
In another video, Osimhen was seen greeting traditional rulers present at the event alongside Nigerian football legend Austin Jay Jay Okocha.
The event also featured former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick, who had previously had a publicized feud with Davido over the musician’s failure to perform at the 19th edition of the ‘Warri Again’ event in October 2023.
However, Davido and Chioma were seen visiting Pinnick’s house a few hours before the wedding to personally invite his family, indicating a reconciliation.
Mrs. Pinnick shared her excitement about the visit on TikTok, praising Chioma and expressing her best wishes for the couple’s future.
She said, “David and Chioma came to our house to personally invite my family to their marriage ceremony. I was thrilled to meet Chioma for the first time; she is such a beautiful girl. Let love lead. Wishing Davido and Chioma a beautiful future together forever.”
The wedding was attended by a host of prominent figures, including former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, several state governors, politicians, top businessmen, and traditional rulers, making it a grand and memorable event.
