The Matchday 16 of the Belgian top flight decided at the Cegeka Arena was Sor’s ninth appearance for Genk this campaign.
Tarik Tissoudali gave Gent the lead inside opening 11th minutes of the match before Sor equalized 11 minutes later for his first goal of the new season.
Both teams canceled each other out till they retired for half time break.
Genk had their nose in front just six minutes into restart as Sor got his second of the day scoring from a brilliant pass from Ghana’s Joseph Painstil.
Sor was replaced by another Nigerian in Joseph Arokodare to bring freshness to Genk’s attack but it was Gent who also had the duo of Gift Orban and Jordan Torunarigha in their fold that forced the game to end in stalemate, thanks to Tissoudali’s stoppage time finish.
