Victor Boniface strikes late to rescue Bayer Leverkusen in Borussia Dortmund draw

Nigerian striker, Victor Boniface was the saviour for Bayer Leverkusen as he scored a late equalizer to played out a 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga encounter on Sunday.
The Super Eagles’ forward registered his eighth goal of the campaign when he reached to the end of Patrik Schick’s low cross with 11 minutes from time.
Dortmund took a shock lead inside opening five minutes as the hosts were caught napping to allow Julian Ryerson buried from close range.
It looked like Dortmund would inflict the first defeat of the season on Leverkusen in all competitions but the hosts rallied to extend their unbeaten run with a second half resurgence.
The result saw Leverkusen leading the log three points ahead of Bayern Munich who have a game at hand after Saturday’s match with Union Berlin was postponed due to heavy snowfall.
