Head Coach of Nigeria’s women U20 national team, Christopher Danjuma is aiming to get the 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup started on a winning note.
Danjuma will be leading out the Falconets as the U20 ladies are called for their opening game against Korea Republic in the early hours of Monday in Bogota.
The African representative had been in Bogota for two weeks preparing for the mundial and will be counting on early arrival to give them edge. The Falconets defeated Australia 3-1 in their first friendly and lost 1-0 to Mexico in their second test game.
The gaffer said: “It is important for his side to start the competition on a positive note,” he told thenff.com.
“We are working on our tactics and techniques, to get it right when we play the Koreans, that is the first and foremost assignment.
“Once we get it right against the Koreans, we will then set out for the Germans. I am very happy that we have no case of injury in camp.
“The girls are all ready to go out there and make Nigeria proud.”
Venezuela and Germany are the two other opponents in Nigeria’s group at the tournament.
