Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan honors Morocco’s U-20 World Cup champions in Royal Ceremony

Upon the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan presided on Wednesday over a ceremony at the Royal Palace in Rabat honoring members of Morocco’s national under-20 football team, following their historic triumph at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.

The Crown Prince was received by the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, national team coach Mohamed Ouahbi, and players of the victorious squad, before posing for an official commemorative photograph.

A tea ceremony was later held in celebration of the Atlas Cubs’ achievement — the first-ever FIFA World Cup title in Moroccan and Arab football history.

The reception reflects the High Solicitude with which His Majesty the King continues to support Moroccan youth and underscores the strategic importance the Sovereign accords to sports development, particularly football.

This world title crowns the success of Morocco’s long-term investment in elite sports training, guided by the King’s enlightened vision and embodied by institutions such as the Mohammed VI Football Academy, a key pillar in nurturing national talent to international standards.

Following the team’s victory over Argentina in the final, His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a message of congratulations to the players and staff, commending them for representing Morocco’s youth and Africa with honor, determination, and pride.

The achievement, hailed as a landmark moment in Moroccan football history, symbolizes national unity and the values of discipline, perseverance, and excellence that underpin the Kingdom’s sporting renaissance.
