Diepreye Teibowei upbeat about Bayelsa United survival after Abia Warriors demolition

Bayelsa United coach, Diepreye Teibowei is ecstatic about his side’s latest triumph over Abia Warriors at the Samson Siasia stadium, Yenagoa and is confident that they can beat the drop at the end of the term.
The Restoration Boys gave their survival chances a major boost with a 5-1 humiliation of the Ochendo Babes thanks to a brace from Alex Oyowah plus Robert Christian Mizo, Jerry Alex and Stephen Ikechi Wisdom on Sunday.
And ‘computer’ as nicknamed by fans, reflects on his side’s rough start to the season, while sharing high hopes of a topflight survival.
“We started the league not poorly but with a lot of challenges then the level of concentration and focus of the players affected our initial start of the league but I believe that right now we are getting better in terms of coordination,” Teibowei told media.
“If you watch our home matches, we create a lot of chances but we fail to convert but we have been working seriously on converting our chances which happened today against Abia Warriors.
“We must also thank the government because the government really came in and brought in new players who have stabilized the team for us and we are very happy at this moment and hopefully if we are able to maintain our good result, we will maintain our stay in the Premiership.”
Away to Wikki Tourists is the next engagement for Bayelsa United in the NPFL as they currently sit in eighth position on the NPFL abridged group B with 12 points from 12 matches.
