Edo Queens unveil Amarachukwu Onuorah from Sunshine Queens

Edo Queens have announced the arrival of forward, Amarachuwku Onuorah in preparation for the 2023/2024 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership.

Onuorah joined the Benin City-based side from the second-tier NWFL Championship side, Sunshine Queens.

She was part of the Akure-based side that finished second at the end of the 2023 NWFL Championship in Ogun State.

Her former team narrowly missed out on qualification for the top-flight NWFL Championship last month.

When Sunshine Queens edged Honey Badgers 2-1 during the 2023 NWFL Championship, Amarachukwu scored the winning goal in the 89th minute.

Her showing and display caught the eyes of Edo Queens coach, Moses Aduku who was present during the NWFL Championship to snap her up.

She is the first major signing of the team and was unveiled on the first day of August, Tuesday.
