EFCC FC, Naija Ratels FC claim FCT FA Cup

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Football Club (EFCC) defeated Sporting S. FC on penalties to win the 2024 Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Football Association (FA) Cup on Saturday.
The anti-graft football team had to come from two goals to win the title.
Stephen Michael scored the first goal of the encounter for Sporting S. FC in the 29th minute of play.
Abdulbaki Abubakar doubled the lead in the 74th minute while Abubakar Bature reduced the deficit shortly after for EFCC FC.
Bature’s second goal in the 88th minute took the game into penalties where EFCC FC emerged winner 4-3.
The finalists will represent FCT in the Federation Cup (FA Cup) alongside Naija Ratels FC which thrashed N/Youth 4-0 in the women’s FA Cup.
The Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership side, Naija Ratels retained the women’s title.
