Egypt U20 Afcon: Flying Eagles extend perfect record against Nasarawa United

Nigeria’s U20 national team continued with an unbeaten run in friendlies after 1-1 draw with Nigeria Professional Football League side Nasarawa United on Friday at the FIFA Goal Project, MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
After a barren first half, the Solid Miners stunned their hosts through Ikenna Offor who scored from the penalty spot in the 69th minute.
With four minutes left on the clock, Flying Eagles levelled matters as the keeper failed to hold on to Wilfred George’s effort. The rebound fell to the path of Adams Olamilekan who showed gratitude with the equalizer.
The result comes just 24 hours after the Flying Eagles had recorded a 2-0 victory over another NPFL side, Wikki Tourist Fc at the same venue thanks to goals from Olamilelekan Adams off a free-kick and Olusegun Otusanya.
The Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled between February 18 and March 12, 2023 in Egypt.
Aside from the Flying Eagles and the host nation, other countries will also compete for honours during the biennial event are Senegal, Zambia, Mozambique, Uganda, South Sudan, Tunisia, Central African Republic and DR Congo.
According to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the draw ceremony for the finals will take place in Cairo.
Meanwhile, the top four teams will qualify for the FIFA U-20 World Cup scheduled to take place in Indonesia from 20th May to 11th June next year.
