Eight Teams Secure Promotion to Nigeria National League from NLO

The Nationwide League One (NLO) proudly announces the successful promotion of eight outstanding clubs to the Nigeria National League (NNL) following the conclusion of the 2025 NLO season.

These promotions mark a significant achievement for the clubs and underscore the continued growth and competitiveness of grassroots football in Nigeria.

After a rigorous campaign and standout performances in their respective playoff matches, the following clubs earned their places in the second tier of Nigerian football:

Promoted Clubs:

From the Northern Zone:

* Kano Ambassadors – Kano State
* Warinje FC – Bauchi State
* City FC – Abuja (FCT)
* Maikunkele FC – Niger State

From the Southern Zone:

* Stormers SC – Ogun State
* Hammola FC – Osun State
* E-World United – Cross River State
* Ikorodu City FA – Lagos State

Chairman of the NLO,Mohammed Alkali, congratulated the promoted clubs and praised their efforts throughout the season:

> “These clubs have demonstrated the spirit, quality, and ambition required to compete at higher levels. Their promotion is a testament to the hard work of the players, coaching staff, and management. We look forward to seeing them excel in the NNL.”

The NLO remains committed to its vision of nurturing young talent and providing a platform for clubs across Nigeria to develop and shine on the national stage. The league extends its appreciation to all participating teams, stakeholders, and partners who contributed to a successful 2025 season.
