Emmanuel Petit: Victor Osimhen could be Arsenal’s key to Premier League glory

Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit has urged the Gunners to consider signing Victor Osimhen when the summer transfer window opens.
The North London club is expected to bring in a new striker after falling short in their quest to win the Premier League this season.
Petit believes the dynamic forward, who is expected to leave Napoli this season, has showcased his goal-scoring prowess with 17 goals and 3 assists in 30 appearances across all competitions. His contributions have been instrumental in Napoli’s campaign.
Although the Nigerian international has a release clause estimated at around €130 million (£111.2m), Petit is confident that signing Osimhen could help Arsenal compete and win the Premier League title next season.
“I think Arsenal need a 30-goal striker to finally win the Premier League, and that man could be Victor Osimhen,” Petit told Boylesports.
“His dream is to come to England and he could be brilliant here. He’s physically so strong and is an out-and-out number nine, so he’d be my first choice. He has been amazing with Lille and then Napoli.
“But as I mentioned, I also think Rashford would be a great addition as he can play out wide and upfront.
“To compete with Man City, Arsenal need four more players. City can bring on five players with incredible quality, and right now, Arsenal can’t, so they need to have a busy summer ahead.”
Osimhen’s potential move to Arsenal could mark a significant step in the club’s ambitions, providing the firepower necessary to challenge for the Premier League title.
