By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Another match day, another goal for Nigeria forward Esther Okoronkwo as she continued her prolific form in the Canadian Women’s Super League.

The 27-year-old striker was on target for AFC Toronto, calmly converting from the penalty spot in their 1-1 draw against Halifax Tides FC on Sunday.

Okoronkwo’s goal means she has now been directly involved in 18 goals across her last 16 matches, underlining her consistency and importance for both club and country.

The Super Falcons attacker has become a go-to figure in Toronto’s attack, delivering crucial goals and assists while displaying her trademark composure in front of goal.

With her scoring streak showing no signs of slowing down, Okoronkwo will be key to AFC Toronto’s push for top spot in the Canadian league this season, while also keeping herself firmly in Nigeria’s plans ahead of upcoming international fixtures.
