FC Porto have received a major boost ahead of their UEFA Europa League Matchday Three fixture against Nottingham Forest, with Nigerian defender Zaidu Sanusi cleared to return to action.
The experienced left-back, who picked up a calf injury while on international duty with Nigeria two weeks ago, missed Porto’s domestic Cup match last weekend.
However, he took part in full training during the team’s final session before departing for England.
Club medical staff have now certified the 26-year-old fit for selection, and he has been included in the traveling squad for Thursday’s encounter at the City Ground.
Sanusi started Porto’s opening two Europa League matches this season and is expected to play a key role as Sérgio Conceição’s side look to strengthen their position in the group.
