FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup: Flamingos to face Canada, France in Group D

Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national team now knows their group opponents ahead of the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
The 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup bronze medalists will face Canada, France, and Samoa in Group D after the draw of the tournament was conducted on Wednesday.
The Flamingos qualified for the competition, which will take place in Morocco alongside four other African representatives, including the host country.
Host Morocco in Group A will face Brazil, Italy, and Costa Rica, while Cameroon, Korea DPR, Mexico, and the Netherlands are pitted in Group B.
Another African representative, Cote D’Ivoire, is housed in Group E against Spain, Colombia, and the Korean Republic.
Zambia is in the same group (F) as Japan, New Zealand, and Paraguay.
Nigeria and Ghana, with bronze medals apiece, have Africa’s best performance at the competition.
The 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup is scheduled for October 17 to November 8.
