FIFA U20 World Cup: Dominican Republic to miss star player against Nigeria

With about 24 hours to their opening FIFA U20 World Cup game against Nigeria, debutant Dominican Republic have been dealt a huge blow as one of their key players, Sabatian Manon has been ruled out of the tournament.
Manon who just recovered from a thigh injury he suffered during the country’s camping in Spain has have a relapse of the knock which will see him missing the tournament.
According to the medical team of the country, Manon was “presented with a relapse in one of the training sessions before the start of the World Cup as a result of right lumbosciatic pain that limits his physical sports activities and therefore his performance.”
17 year old Thomas Jungbauer who plays for Spal U18 side has been called up to replace Manon.
The Dominican Republic will be taking Flying Eagles on the opening match on Sunday.
