The Nigerian Flying Eagles have relocated to Katsina for their training camp in preparation for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire next month.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) secured sponsorship from the Katsina State Government to support the team’s training efforts, which follow a recent playing tour of Cote d’Ivoire.
The Flying Eagles are facing a tough challenge in the upcoming U20 AFCON, having been placed in a difficult group alongside Morocco, Egypt, and South Africa.
The tournament also serves as a qualifier for the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile, with the top four semifinalists earning a spot in the global competition, adding extra stakes to the continental event.
