Gift Monday: Nigeria striker happy with maiden season at UDG Tenerife

Nigerian striker Gift Monday has described her first season in European football with Spanish side, UDG Tenerife as satisfactory as she aim to achieve more with the team.
The Super Falcons forward joined Tenerife from FC Robo Queens after her loan spells with Bayelsa Queens where she won the Nigeria Women Premier League title last season.
The mercurial goal poacher has fast developed to a better player which has earned her opportunities to play in the national team on many occasions.
Reflecting on how she fared in her debut football sojourn abroad, an elated Monday is looking forward to a better outing next season.
“It’s a wrap for my first season in Europe and I’m looking forward to better and promising seasons ahead,” the FC Robo Queens product wrote on her official twitter handle.
“Really a rough path but I am excited about the huge opportunity, injury free outing and learning curve for me. Thanks to everyone supportive of my career journey.”
Monday is expected to make the Super Falcons roster for the forthcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup coming up in New Zealand and Australia.
