Gift Orban: Nigeria forward reveals ambition of playing in Premier League

By Monsurah Olatunji

Nigerian sensation striker Gift Orban has revealed his ambition to play in the Premier League but admits he still has a lot to improve on to achieve his dream move to the English topflight.
The 20-year-old joined Gent from Norwegian second-tier club Stabaek in January and is proving to be a huge bargain for his Belgian Jupiler League club as he continues to find the back of the net since his brace scoring debut.
On Sunday, Orban became the only Gent player to score four goals in a Jupiler League this century after his haul for Gent in their 6-2 demolition of Waregem, taking his season tally to nine goals in eight outings in all competitions.
The former Bison FC man was happy with his performance at Belgian outfit, but he believes he still has a lot of work to do if he is going to merit a move to the Premier League in coming years.
“It is indeed the first time in my professional career. I had never even made a hat trick, but it doesn’t mean much to me in the end,” Orban told Gent’s website.
“My level has to be even higher if I ever want to play in the Premier League. There is still a lot of work to be done.”
