Golden Eaglets set for WAFU-B U17 Boys Tournament in Côte d’Ivoire with final squad announcement

Nigeria’s U17 Boys National Team, will on Wednesday jet out to Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire for the 2025 WAFU-B U17 Boys Tournament.

The five-time world champions wrapped up their preparations with a goalless draw against Mop Stars FC on Monday. In total, the team played 13 friendly matches during camp — winning 10, drawing two, and losing just one, with an impressive tally of 25 goals scored and only five conceded.

The Eaglets begin their Group B campaign against the Baby Cheetahs of Benin Republic on Wednesday, 24 September, before facing Burkina Faso. Group A consists of hosts Côte d’Ivoire, Niger Republic, Ghana, and Togo.

All matches will be played at the Stade du Lycée Scientifique in Yamoussoukro, a natural turf stadium built for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
