“He is the best” – Odion Ighalo feels Cristiano Ronaldo is the real GOAT

Former Manchester United and Watford forward Jude Odion Ighalo has described Cristiano Ronaldo as the real Greatest Of All Time (GOAT).

The 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) top goal scorer asserted that he admires the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

The Nigerian international stated this in an interview with Oma Sports TV, where he said he has too much respect for Ronaldo.

“Ronaldo is a legend. He is the best, for me, is the GOAT,” Ighalo told Oma Sports TV.

“I have too much respect for him, admiration for him. He is going to play for his own team and he will score goals and me, I am going to play for my own team and I will score goals.

“So we will see how it goes. I wish him all the best in Al-Nassr, then I will do my job for Al-Hilal and we will see at the end of the season.”

There has been a debate about who is the greatest of all time between Ronaldo and Lionel Messi ahead of Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup which the latter won with Argentina.

The Argentine playmaker left his shell recently by joining PSG from FC Barcelona and is expected to leave the French side at the end of this season according to multiple reports if he decided not to extend his contract this summer.

Ronaldo has been a journeyman since leaving Sporting Lisbon as a teenager. He has played for Manchester United (twice), Real Madrid, Juventus and presently plying his football trade with Saudi Arabia Professional League side, Al Nasr.

Messi and Ronaldo recently played together as opponents during PSG’s win over Saudi League All-Stars.
