Honorable Yahaya Kwande emerges Plateau State Football Association chairman

The former member, Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency and former Board Member of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Honourable Sulieman Yahaya Kwande has been elected as Chairman of Plateau Football Association (PFA).
The election was conducted on Thursday, October, 19, to fill various positions in the state Football Association.
Kwande pulled 24 out of 24 votes of the Local Government Areas (LGA) and affiliates delegates to emerge as the winner.
In the same vein, Mr Ezira Godit was elected first Vice Chairman of Plateau Football Association after polling 23 out of 24 votes.
Kwande took the oath of allegiance and received a certificate of return on 19th October 2023, at Mees Palace in Jos City.
In his remarks, Kwande says sports will be used as a tool to promote peace and unity on the Plateau and he will introduce other sports activities.
He also stated that he would encourage sports as a means of empowering talented Youths from the grassroots.
With his election, it is hoped that a breath of fresh air will enter Plateau State Football.
