I don’t regret playing for Nigeria – Ola Aina

Nigeria full back, Ola Aina has stated, he doesn’t regret playing for the national team.
Aina was born and raised in United Kingdom, playing for England at the youth level before switching allegiance to the West African nation at the senior level.
While revealing motive behind his switch, the former Torino and Fulham star described the love from Nigerian fans inspire him to give his best when playing for his country of origin.
“It was good to have qualified. Everyone was happy and excited to be back for the tournament,” Aina told Premier League TV.
“The love I receive from the fans makes me feel good and I’m just happy to play for Nigeria and looking forward to the next one.
“It was just a decision I felt I needed to take. I knew Nigeria was looking for me and at that time I had not been playing internationally for different reasons and I just followed my heart at the end of the day, I wanted to play for Nigeria and I don’t regret it.”
