“I want more” – Cyriel Dessers declares Old Firm derby readiness against Celtic

By Monsurah Olatunji
Nigeria forward Cyriel Dessers has expressed his delight after firing Rangers into the Scottish Cup final with a match-winning brace to set up a mouthwatering clash against Celtic.
The Belgian-born forward was the standout performer as Rangers defeated Heart of Midlothian FC to set up a meeting with fierce rivals Celtic in the final of the Scottish FA Cup, netting both goals in a 2-0 victory.
Signed from US Cremonese last summer, the top scorer in the inaugural edition of the Europa Conference League has a contract with Rangers until June 2027.
Although he has improved under Philippe Clement, registering 21 goal involvements (16 goals, 5 assists) in 33 outings, he is lacking consistency.
With an Old Firm derby final now on the horizon, Dessers is hungry for more success.
“When you score two goals in a semi-final, you have to be happy with that, but we want more,” he said according to BBC Scotland.
“I want more goals, I want more wins, and hopefully, more trophies as well.”
