ICMC 2023: Harmony hits treble as Imo Strikers cruise past Papa Soccer to semi-final

2022 beaten finalist, Imo Strikers thrashed Papa Soccer Academy 6-0 in the quarter-final of the 2023 Ifeanyi Chiejine Memorial Cup (ICMC) in Asaba on Friday.

Youngster, Chidi Harmony scored three goals in the 37th, 40th, and 44th minutes respectively to lift her side to their fourth win of the campaign.

Oscar Precious bagged two goals while Miracle Ezeka completed the rout.

Earlier, Fortress Ladies recorded a 4-3 win on penalties against Awka Angels to make it to the semi-final.

Two goals from Ohuche Agnes ensured that Giant Empress earned a 2-0 win over Unification Ladies.

Delta Babes beat Phoenix Queens 5-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation time.

The semi-final game will be held on Saturday with Imo Strikers facing Fortress Ladies in the first last-four clash.

Giant Empress and Delta Babes will trade tackles in the second semi-final match-up.

The third place and final match of the tournament will take place at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on Sunday.
