Ifeanyi Anaemena: Remo Stars signs Super Eagles defender from Saudi Arabian club

Remo Stars have completed the signing of Ifeanyi Anaemena from Saudi Arabian club, Al-Nahdah for an undisclosed fee.

The Super Eagles defender will be a Sky Blue Star till the end of the 2022/2023 season, bringing experience to the team’s defense

Anaemena has donned the colors of Enyimba International in the NPFL as he was part of the team that guided the club to the CAF Confederations Cup semifinal in 2019.

The hard tackling defender won the league title for the Peoples Elephant in 2019 before making a lucrative move to Rivers United.

Remo Stars made an impressive start to the season, winning their first three matches and conceding no goal in the process before their campaign nosedived, eventually seeing their run end with the loss to Bendel Insurance in Benin.

The Ikenne based club are fifth on the NPFL abridged group A with 15 points from nine matches and they will clash with Nasarawa United when the league resumes on the 26th of March at their Ikenne based stadium.
