IMC Chairman says NPFL winner will receive N100m

The IMC chairman assures that the draw for the abridged season will happen on Wednesday and can be proven stay on tv,
Chairman of the Interim Administration Committee (IMC) of the Nigeria Skilled Soccer League (NPFL), Gbenga Elegbeleye, revealed that the league’s winner would obtain an N100 million money prize.
Elegbeleye mentioned that the winner of this league would get what was promised, in distinction to the Rivers state membership, which has but to gather the assured N50m.
The Port Harcourt-based group clinched the title in July after ending the common season with 77 factors, shattering the earlier mark of 73 factors set by the league.
By a major margin, the highest group within the nation, Rivers United, completed ten factors forward of Plateau United within the league after profitable 23 and drawing eight of their 38 video games.
Elegbeleye remarked, as reported by Punch, in a radio interview, “We promised to provide help to the golf equipment via our sponsors, and we are going to try this. So, what we are saying, we do and the winner of this season once more, will get N100m.” he mentioned.
He mentioned that the Rivers state group, who gained the final NPFL competitors, is but to get its monetary reward and that might not occur this time as they need to fulfil their finish of the promise.
“Thoughts you, N50m was promised to Rivers United that gained the league final season and it has not been paid, so we is not going to promise what we is not going to do and we’re prepared to provide Nigerians the very best reward,” Says the Chairman.
The NPFL’s 2022–2023 season is not going to start on December 28 of present 12 months as initially deliberate; as a substitute, it’ll start on January 8, 2023.
