Imperial FC dethrone Beyond Limit to win Ogun State FA Cup

Imperial FC have been crowned the 2025 Ogun State FA Cup champions after an 8-7 win on penalties over 2024 winners, Beyond Limit Football Academy, at the Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, on Saturday.

Wahab Hassan gave Beyond Limit the lead in the third minute of play while Imperial FC restored parity in the 12th minute.

In the 85th minute, Imperial FC went ahead, but Beyond Limit secured a last-gasp equalizer to take the match into penalties.

The Odogbolu-based side won the battle of wills 8-7 on penalties to win the title.

Imperial FC and Beyond Limit FA will represent Ogun State at the 2024 President Federation Cup.

Earlier, Remo Stars Ladies thrashed Castmog FA 4-0 to win the women’s edition.

They retained the title won in 2024 against the same opponents.
