The Cameroon senior women’s national team, consisting of 23 players along with their coaching staff, backroom personnel, and several administrative officials from the country’s football governing body (FECAFOOT) are anticipated to arrive at the Ijebu-Ode residence of the Super Falcons later today.
This is in preparation for Saturday’s first leg of the double-header international friendlies between Nigeria and Cameroon, which will start at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun state.
The second match between these two long-standing rivals is scheduled for next Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the newly renovated MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta.
Both teams are utilizing these matches as preparation for upcoming football challenges, particularly the forthcoming CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) set to occur in Morocco from July 5 to 26, 2025.
Prompt News reported that the Cameroonian team, arriving in Nigeria today from Douala via Cameroon Airlines, will be transported directly from Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos to Am2pm Hotel and Suites in Ijebu-Ode.
The Super Falcons have been residing at the same hotel since Monday, when their camp commenced. The visiting team’s schedule includes mandatory training at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo, the match venue for Saturday.
However, it remains unclear what time they will opt to train in order to familiarize themselves with the pitch, where the Super Falcons practiced once on Tuesday.
The nine-time African champions also trained at the Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu Ode, on Wednesday morning.
