Nigeria forward, Onyi Jennifer Echegini is set to add to her accolades as she made the finalists list for another trophy.

Echegini will contest the prize with BYU’s Brecken Mozingo and Nebraska’s Eleanor Dale and posted a career-high and ACC-leading 16 goals for the 2023 National Championship.

Her 16 goals were tied for the eighth-most in school history and the most goals since Deyna Castellanos in 2017.

The Super Falcons player was pivotal in Florida State University’s (FSU’s) double title triumphs.

Her University team won the ACC Regular Season Championship and wrapped up 2023 with the season-ending ACC Championship.

The rising star is expected to put pen to paper with former Italian Serie A winners, Juventus in the coming days after the end of her University education.

She landed in Italy ahead of signing for Juventus last December, signing for the Italian side is a boost to her rising career.

Echegini was part of Super Falcons squad that reached the Round of 16 of 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
