Jennifer Echegini observes first training with PSG

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Former Juventus forward Jennifer Echegini joined up with her new teammates at French side PSG, on Tuesday morning.

The Club posted a video of her training sessions and pictures at the PSG Campus on the team’s social media pages.

The former Florida State University (FSU) star took a short trip to the capital of France after representing Nigeria’s senior women’s national team at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

She scored the Super Falcons’ lone goal at the women’s football tournament against Japan during a 3-1 loss to the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup winners.

After barely a season with Italian giants, Juventus, Echegini completed her switch to the Parisiennes ahead of the 2024/2025 season.

She scored 10 goals in 14 league games for the Italian Old Ladies last season.

Before moving to Juventus, the rising star helped FSU secure a rewarding 2022/2023 campaign.

Echegini studied Management studies at Florida State University and played as a midfielder for the Seminoles from 2022 through 2023.

In December 2023, she won the Honda Sport Award for women’s soccer and the Most Valuable Player of the ACC Tournament, ACC Offensive Player of the Year, and was named to the First Team All-American.
