Jose Peseiro confident of Osimhen, Iheanacho replacements against Mozambique

Nigeria head coach, Jose Peseiro admits there’s replacements following the news of Victor Osimhen and Kelechi Iheanacho leaving the camp ahead of their international friendly against Mozambique.
The Super Eagles will continue preparing for next month’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers without the duo after they participated in a recent 2-2 draw against Saudi Arabia.
Napoli striker Osimhen who sustained an injury during the game, has returned to Italy for medical treatment, while Kelechi Iheanacho, who contributed to Nigeria’s second goal in the match, has left camp to attend to personal matters.
However, Jose Peseiro insisted that he has perfect replacements for both players who have been sidelined for the game against the Mambas on Monday.
“We will miss Kelechi and Victor, but we have other good players who can make Nigeria proud. I look at the bench and see players who can step up and take their chances.”
