Joy Omewa extends scoring streak as Fortuna Hjørring edge Breiðablik

Nigeria forward Joy Omewa is proving unstoppable this season as she continues her phenomenal goal-scoring run across Europe.

The Super Falcons striker once again delivered the decisive moment, netting the only goal in Fortuna Hjørring’s 1–0 away victory over Breiðablik in the UEFA Women’s Europa Cup round of 16 clash on Wednesday.

Omewa struck just one minute into the second half (46′), unleashing a spectacular left-footed effort from outside the box.

Her trademark composure and clinical finishing handed Fortuna a crucial away advantage heading into the return leg.

That goal not only secured the win but also extended Omewa’s incredible scoring streak to 12 consecutive matches, underlining her dominance and consistency this season.

With this latest strike, the prolific forward has now registered 18 goals in 19 appearances across all competitions.
