After the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, the Kano State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has decided to dissolve the interim management and board members of Kano Pillars Football Club.

In a letter dated July 12, 2024, signed by the Honourable Commissioner Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, the dissolution of the interim management and board of the team, which finished 11th at the end of the 2023/2024 NPFL season, was confirmed.

The letter stated that the tenure of the interim management and board of the team had elapsed in December 2023.

“A new management team will be constituted soon to lead Kano Pillars Football Club into the next chapter of success and development,” the letter read.

“On behalf of Kano State Government, I would like to extend its gratitude to the outgoing interim management and board for their dedicated service during their tenure. Their contributions have been invaluable in the achievements of Kano Pillars Football Club.

“We thank them for their hard work, commitment, and dedication to the club and the sport of football in Kano State.”

Members of the outgoing interim board were requested to hand over the affairs of the Club to the most senior civil servant with immediate effect.

This development comes on the same day the team announced former Sporting Lagos coach Paul Offor as their new head coach.
