Kebbi Beach Soccer Club gain support boost ahead of Italy 2023 World Winners Cup

As Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) champions, Kebbi BSC continue their preparation for the 2023 World Winner Cup, support is coming from the state government and stakeholders.

Kebbi State Government officials visited the team camp at Jabi Lake, Abuja to support the Nigerian champions as they continue their preparation for the 2023 World Winners Cup in Alghero, Italy.

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Honourable Nuruddeen Fingilla, Senior Special Adviser to the Executive Governor Alhaji Kabiru Sani (Giant), and the General Manager of the team kit sponsors, Wacot Rice, Dr Umar Muhammed were all present as the team wrapped up their training in Abuja.

They promised to support the team in their international pursuit with the state representative promising unflinching support to ensure the club had a successful outing in Italy.

The two-time champions of the NBSL have been drawn in Group H alongside two other African teams for the tourney.

Kebbi Fishers will face South Refineries from Iraq, Malika SC (Senegal), and JKT Tanzania.

32 teams from 23 countries were drawn into eight groups of four teams.

Kebbi BSC is the only Nigerian team that will participate in the tournament and is joined by two other African teams.

Organised by Beach Soccer Worldwide, this will be the second international tournament to be attended by Kebbi BSC.

This is the third edition of the World Winners Cup and will be held from September 26 to October 1, 2023.
