Kebbi BSC crowned 2023 Nigeria Beach Soccer League champions

2021 Nigeria Beach Soccer League winners, Kebbi Beach Soccer Club (BSC) reclaimed the league title after a 3-2 win over Nmanko Patigi BSC in the final match of the last phase of the 2023 season in Birnin Kebbi, on Sunday.
Two goals from Adams Taiwo and a goal by Suleiman Abdullahi sealed the win for Kebbi based side in the Kebbi State capital.
Kebbi reclaimed the title they lost last season to Kada BSC on home soil winning their second league title in the process.
They had sealed the title with a 3-0 win against Ibom BSC and extended their lead to seven points after the win against the Kwara State-based side.
Earlier, 2022 winners, Kada BSC had to rely on extra time to earn a 7-6 win over Kebbi United BSC.
The games ended 4-4 after the third period in a match where Dozie Frank scored six of Kada Stars’ seven goals.
At the end of the season, Kebbi BSC topped the table with 25 points ahead of Nmanko Patigi BSC with 18 points.
Kada BSC with a superior goal difference of 14 edged debutants, Kebbi United BSC to finish third after both sides were tied at 17 points.
Kebbi BSC’s Taiwo Adams won the most valuable player award with teammate, Arome Isah smiling home with the best goalkeeper prize.
Kada BSC’s Dozie Frank with 16 goals scooped the highest goal scorer award as Kebbi United’s Hassan Abdullahi won the promising talent prize.
