LaLiga: Sevilla Manager promises Kelechi Iheanacho more playing time

Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho has received assurances from Sevilla manager Garcia Pimienta regarding increased playing time at the LaLiga club, according to Nigeriafootball.ng.

As Sevilla prepares for their weekend clash against Espanyol, Pimienta acknowledged Iheanacho’s limited appearances since joining the former UEFA Europa League champions on a free transfer this summer.

The forward has featured in just five league matches, and he was an unused substitute in the last two games against Real Betis and Barcelona.

Despite this, Pimienta emphasized that Iheanacho deserves more opportunities to showcase his talent.

“I’m happy with him; the other day he was set to come on, but Suso’s injury changed our plans,” Pimienta explained to media.

“He’s training well and deserves to play more minutes. Even in a tough match, I was planning to bring him in.”

Iheanacho’s prospects appear promising as he aims to make a more significant impact in the coming matches.
