Macleans Chinonyerem opens goal account as Lokomotiv Moscow thrash Krylya Sovetov Samara

After recovering from injury, Nigeria forward, Macleans Chinonyerem scored her first goal of the 2024 league campaign in Lokomotiv Moscow’s 4-0 win over FK Krylya Sovetov Samara in a Russian women’s top-flight encounter, on Saturday.

Brazilian player, Layssa scored the first goal of the encounter for the travelers in the 18th minute at the Samara Arena.

Chinonyerem doubled the lead for the travelers in the 44th minute by heading home a corner kick as her club entered the locker room with two-goal lead.

The momentum continued to go the way of the visitors after the interval as Polina Yuklyaeva increased the advantage to three in the 57th minute.

Nine minutes later, Anna Belomyttseva scored the fourth goal from the penalty spot to add salt to the host’s injuries.

With the victory, Lokomotiv Moscow occupy the fourth position with 13 points after six games.

They are behind leader, Francesca Ordega’s CSKA Moscow which has a maximum of 15 points from five games.

Dynamo Moscow and Zenit occupy the second and third positions respectively.
