Manchester City eyeing triple swoop during summer transfer window
An insight into Manchester City’s summer transfer plans has been provided.
Manchester City have one of the best squads in England and most recently added to that by signing Julian Alvarez from Argentina, with the striker set to link up with City before the start of next season.
However, Manchester City also have a number of players who are due to enter the final year of their deals this summer, with Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva all fairly publicly being linked with a move away from the Etihad over the last year or so.
Now though, reports stemming from the Daily Mail claim that Manchester City have added a central midfielder – capable of operating both in a reserved holding position and in a more advanced role – to their transfer wish list, with it added that the club are planning to start next season with at least three new players:
There is a belief that #ManCity need to add numbers in central midfield, while there is hope that James McAtee may be afforded more game time next season.

Who will Manchester City sign?
One of those players does look set to be Erling Haaland, whilst Frenkie de Jong has been linked this week as well:

That just leaves one position for Man City to strengthen in and, given their lack of natural options in the full-back role, perhaps City may target some cover for Kyle Walker.
