Mercy Idoko’s goal propels Racing Power into Taca de Portugal final

Nigeria midfielder, Mercy Idoko scored a goal in the return leg of Taca de Portugal semi-final to help Racing Power to a 4-2 win against Braga on Sunday.
Racing Power had won the first leg 2-1 away from home returning home with a goal advantage.
In a bid to extend the advantage, Jenny Vetter opened scoring for the host in the fifth minute.
Idoko doubled the lead for her side four minutes later to make it 2-0.
With three goal deficit, Braga fought back to equalise thanks to goals from Caroline Kehrer and Sissi who converted from the penalty spot in the 34th minute.
Five minutes into the second half, Evy Pereira restored Racing Power’s lead.
Vetter’s second goal of the game sealed a 4-2 win and completed a 6-3 win on aggregate.
Racing Power will face Portuguese league holders, SL Benfica in the final match.
It also marked an incredible season for Racing Power which gained promotion to the top flight this season and are having a fairytale season.
