Michelle Alozie never expected her present fame after Nigeria breakthrough

Nigeria right back, Michelle Alozie is surprised by her new found fame in football.
The Houston Dash forward has been the toast of most Nigerians lately following her impressive performance at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Alozie believes the small scale research she embarks on would get to the bigger scale which will metamorphosed into clinical research.
The 26 year old said she blew up quickly than expected and hopes she can be a role model to any kid who’s pursuing a career in the science field.
“We’re hoping that the smaller scale research we do is able to go into a bigger scale and then into clinical research,” Alozie was quoted by Yale Alumni Magazine.
“I blew up a little quicker than I would have ever expected. I just feel really grateful for the platform and I hope I can be role model for anyone who is looking to be in the science field but wants to pursue a different passion or a dream of theirs beforehand.”
The research technician at Texas Children’s hospital made her debut for the Super Falcons in 2021 against Jamaica.
She studied molecular, cellular and developmental biology at Yale university.
