Napoli denies Victor Osimhen transfer rumours ahead of January window

Napoli’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, has firmly dismissed the recent rumours linking Victor Osimhen with a potential January transfer, clarifying that there has been no official contact regarding the Nigerian striker’s future.
Osimhen, the reigning African Player of the Year, has been at the centre of transfer speculation, with reports suggesting that his €75 million release clause could be triggered by either Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) or Manchester United in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Despite the ongoing rumours, Manna reaffirmed that Napoli has not received any offers for Osimhen, who is currently on a season-long loan at Turkish giants Galatasaray.
In an interview with DAZN via TMW, Manna addressed the speculation, stating, “I’ve already said many times, nobody has talked to us. Victor is owned by Napoli and currently playing for Galatasaray. I think too much has been said about this, there is nothing happening.”
Although Napoli has reportedly shown interest in selling Osimhen to fund the signing of three new players as they seek to bolster their squad for a Scudetto challenge, the player himself has made it clear that he intends to remain with Galatasaray until the end of his loan agreement.
The 25-year-old forward has enjoyed a strong start to the season, continuing to impress with his performances for Galatasaray, which only adds to the growing interest in his services.
However, for now, it appears Osimhen’s focus remains on his current commitment in Turkey, with Napoli yet to receive any formal offers.
