New uniform launch for match commissioners as NPFL kicks off in full mode

As the new Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season kicks off across venues nationwide, match commissioners have debuted their new Premium Trust Bank-powered blazers, a development that will now become standard practice moving forward.
Chairman of the NFF Match Commissioners, Alhaji Babagana Kalli, expressed gratitude to Nigeria Football Federation President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau (MON), for facilitating the partnership that ensured a refreshed look for all match commissioners.
“We want to express our gratitude to the NFF President for making this possible. We officially launched the new blazers during the season opener between Remo Stars and Rivers United at the MKO Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta on Friday,” Kalli said.
Kalli, himself a FIFA Match Commissioner, urged his colleagues to raise their standards in line with the league’s drive for professionalism. He revealed that a situation room has now been activated to engage commissioners before every matchday.
“Two days before each fixture, we relate with all match commissioners through the situation room to emphasize the NPFL’s new rules and ensure uniform understanding.
“After all the innovations and encouragement given, there will be zero tolerance for sloppiness, indiscipline, or failure to adhere to best practices,” he stressed.
The new initiative underlines the NPFL’s commitment to improving operational standards and enhancing the overall image of the league, as Nigeria’s domestic championship enters a fresh chapter of reform and development.
