NFF Congress approves NPFL renaming as Nigeria Premier Football League

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF have sanctioned a new name for the country’s apex football league as Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

The football ruling body adopted the new name at its 79th Annual General Assembly held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Sunday.

The league was previously called the Nigeria Professional Football League before the new board decided to run it under new name..

Meanwhile, the boars is yet to announce a new date for the commencement of the 2023/24 NPFL season.
