NFF Disciplinary Committee Upholds Multiple Sanctions Against Wikki Tourists

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Disciplinary Committee has upheld several sanctions against Wikki Tourists FC following incidents linked to one of the club’s recent fixtures.

According to the committee’s ruling, the panel adopted Sanction No.1 in the Summary Jurisdiction (Form 16), maintaining the fine of N2,000,000 imposed on Wikki Tourists for failing to provide adequate and effective security during the match.

However, the committee disagreed with Sanction No.2 contained in the Summary Jurisdiction notice and subsequently set it aside due to lack of sufficient evidence.

The committee also adopted Sanction No.3, upholding a fine of N1,000,000 against Wikki Tourists for unsporting behaviour capable of bringing the game into disrepute.

In addition, Sanction No.4 was upheld, confirming another N1,000,000 fine on the club after supporters were found guilty of throwing dangerous objects onto the field of play.

Meanwhile, the committee rejected Sanction No.5 of the Summary Jurisdiction Notice (Form 16), setting it aside.

Regarding venue sanctions, the committee reduced the earlier order mandating all subsequent home fixtures of Wikki Tourists for the remainder of the 2025/2026 season to be played in Jos. The punishment has now been adjusted to a five-match ban, which will run concurrently from the date the sanction was imposed.

The NFF Disciplinary Committee also stated that the decisions taken remain subject to the right of appeal by the affected parties.
