NFF imposes one million Naira over President Federation Cup nonappearance

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has imposed a fine on clubs that refused to appear for the 2025 President Federation Cup.

This was made known in a press release that revealed fixtures for the men’s and women’s Playoffs.

The nonappearance of any participating club at a match venue, according to the release, will attract a fine of one million Naira.

Failure to redeem the one will also lead to a two-year ban by the Federation from the competition.

All matches are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

20 teams will jostle for the men’s National Playoffs while two women’s teams will feature in the women’s category.

They are First Mahi Babes (Ebonyi state) and Queens of Softlanding FC (Enugu state).
