By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

The Nigeria Beach Soccer Association (NBSA) has officially announced the commencement dates for the highly anticipated 2024 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) season.

According to a circular distributed to all relevant stakeholders, the 2024 league season is set to kick off with Round 1 scheduled for April in Kebbi State.

This will be followed by Round 2 in Anambra State in May, with Round 3 slated for either Lagos or Abuja in June to determine the teams qualifying for the Super Finals.

The Super Finals, the pinnacle of the league campaign, are set to take place in Kaduna in July.

All stakeholders are urged to mark these dates on their calendars and make necessary preparations for what promises to be an exciting and memorable season.

The upcoming season marks the fourth edition of the NBSL, which debuted in 2021.

Kebbi Beach Soccer Club (BSC), Africa’s top-ranked side, clinched the inaugural title in 2021, followed by Kada BSC as champions in 2022.

Kebbi BSC reclaimed the trophy in the 2023 edition, showcasing the fierce competition and thrilling action that characterize beach soccer in Nigeria.
