Two Nigerian players will feature for Tanzanian champions, Simba Queens when they start their campaign to reclaim the 2024 CECAFA (East Africa) Women’s Champions League.

The Tanzania side unveiled the squad that will prosecute the qualifiers this week.

Former Yanga Princess players – Precious Christopher and Mary Saiki, who both joined Simba Queens ahead of their continental campaign made the cut.

Simba Queens will face PVP Buyenzi (Burundi), Kamwepe Muslim Ladies (Uganda), and FAD (Djibouti) in Group B of the qualifiers this month.

They hope to reclaim the title and return to the CAF Women’s Champions League after a year’s absence.

The team won the 2022 CECAFA Women’s Champions League and reached the final of the CAF Women’s Champions League, losing 1-0 to Bayelsa Queens in the third-place match in Morocco.
