Nigeria-eligible striker Edna Imade nets third goal for Cacereno in Reto Iberdrola

Nigeria-eligible striker Edna Imade was on target for her second-tier Spanish women’s league side, Cacereno Asher team played out a 1-1 draw with FC Barcelona B on Saturday.
The 22-year-old forward, who arrived the Spanish club from Malaga in March 2022, scored the first goal of the game for Cacereno in the Reto Iberdrola encounter in the fourth minute.
FC Barcelona B had to wait till the 64th minute before Alba Cano’s equaliser. Imade’s goal took her tally to three goals this season for Cacereno.
The former third-tier AD Nervión star has now scored two goals since her team opened its league campaign for the season with a 3-1 away win over Athletic Bilbao B.
Cacereno currently occupy the fifth position on the Spanish Reto Iberdrola standings with eight points after five league games, five points behind the league leader, Eibar.
The team will next play Espanyol on October 23 as it attempts to pick a promotion ticket to Spanish topflight.
The top team at the end of the league will gain automatic promotion to Liga F while the teams from second to fifth positions will play in the Promotion Playoffs.
Born in Morocco, Imade was brought to Spain by her Nigerian mother at three months of age and grew up in Carmona where she came to love football and she is eligible to represent the West African nation at the senior level.
