Edna Imade nets 15th league goal as Granada falter to Real Madrid

Nigeria eligible forward, Edna Imade increased her goal tally in the Spanish Liga F to 15 during Granada’s 2-1 loss against Real Madrid on Sunday.

The capital side dominated the encounter taking the lead in the 11th minute at the Ciudad Deportiva del Granada.

After a good play by Linda Caicedo, Granada defence could only deflect the ball to Carolina Weir who opened scoring inside the box.

The pressure from Real Madrid persisted into the second half without the second goal giving the host a chance to fight back.

In the 72nd Imade received a pass from Alexia and had a good turn before firing a right footed attempt into the net.

13 minutes later, Caicedo scored the game-winner for Real Madrid.

Imade played the duration of the game as she has now scored 15 goals in the league after 27 games.

Her team occupy the fifth position with 45 points from 28 matches.

They will face Real Sociedad on May 11, 2025, in their next league match.
